Shipping & Receiving Clerk

Location: PolyISO

Shift M-F, 7am – 3:30pm

Pay: Starting at $23 ph

Reports to: Shipping & Receiving Manager

The Shipping & Receiving Lead oversees daily shipping and receiving operations to ensure work is completed safely, accurately, and efficiently. This role provides direction to shipping and receiving personnel, coordinates inbound shipments, maintains inventory accuracy, and supports compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.

Position Responsibilities

• Promote compliance with health, safety, environmental, and quality standards, policies, and procedures.
• Coordinate daily pre-shift safety meetings.
• Maintain training records for environmental, health, safety, quality, and production programs in partnership with the Shipping & Receiving Manager.
• Ensure daily shipping and receiving data is accurate and entered into the transportation system.
• Coordinate inbound dock schedules with Buyers and the Transportation team.
• Conduct raw material and finished goods cycle counts and maintain inventory accuracy.
• Provide daily direction to Shipping & Receiving forklift drivers.
• Serve as backup to the Shipping & Receiving Manager as needed.
• Ensure all incoming materials are received accurately.
• Partner with the Quality team to resolve receiving and material issues.
• Participate in weekly open order review meetings with Production.
• Support official inventory counts with the Operations team.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience in Shipping & Receiving or a distribution center environment.
• Demonstrated competency equivalent to Shipping & Receiving Clerk Levels I–III.
• Ability to complete and maintain DOT, IMDG, and IATA certifications.
• Experience using AS400 or another enterprise resource planning (ERP) system.

Preferred Qualifications

• Associate degree in a related field.
• 1–2 years of supervisory experience in Shipping & Receiving or a distribution center environment.
