Job Title: Shipping/Receiving Clerk

Job Code: SRCLERK001

This position is responsible for accurately entering purchase orders into the computer system, verifying shipping paperwork, preparing parts for shipping, loading and unloading parts off trucks, and placing them in the proper area

WAGE TYPE: Hourly

FLSA Exemption: Non-exempt

  • Enter purchase orders into the computer system
  • Communicate with internal customers, verbally and in writing, concerning the status of purchase orders
  • Perform filing duties
  • Operate Microsoft Office Software
  • PrepareUPS shipments
  • Prepare parts for shipping by shrink wrapping or banding
  • Verify shipping paperwork – pack lists, freight bill, shipping labels, etc.
  • Tag received parts and identify as ready for line or storage
  • Check in parts
  • Prepare and checking packing slips
  • Identify non-conforming parts or packages and disposition in accordance with QS-9000 standards
  • Drive and operate forklifts
  • Load/Unload trucks
  • Verify correct paperwork before moving parts
  • Verify correct paperwork on stored materials
  • Maintain dock area in a neat and orderly manner/keep warehouse organized
  • Transfer parts and orders interdepartmentally and insuring proper documentation
  • Could potentially come in contact with hazardous chemicals.
  • Environmental responsibility is our commitment to our communities.
  • Proper disposal of waste such as recyclables, standard waste, hazardous waste, etc. is expected.
  • Any other tasks as required fulfilling Lincoln Industries' Beliefs and Drivers.

ORGANIZATIONAL STRUCTURE:

  • Reports to: Team Leader, Shipping and Receiving

QUALIFICATIONS: The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required. Equivalent combinations of education and experience may be substituted for the expected levels of education and experience required.

Education and/or Experience:

Expected: High School Diploma or Equivalent.

Preferred: Six months to one year related experience and/or training

Communication Skills:

  • Must be able to read, write and comprehend the English language.
  • Must be able to clearly understand material tracking documents and communicate verbally with line personnel on a daily basis.
  • Must be able to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
