WHAT IS TEKNIPLEX?

TekniPlex Healthcare is a respected business partner that specializes in the manufacturing of medical and pharmaceutical packaging for companies around the world. We aim to deliver better patient outcomes by manufacturing products that allow for less invasive procedures, reduced pain, faster healing, and safer drug delivery. We are currently hiring for a 1st shift (7:00am - 3:30pm) teammate in our Shipping and Receiving Department, located in City Industry, CA. Pay range is $20 - $25 per hour.

Working within established guidelines, the Shipping/Receiving clerk will prepare, review, and track packages and complete documents related to shipping and receiving products. This involves strong coordination between and direct contact with carriers, customer service, and production team members.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

· Verify accuracy of shipments by counting, weighing, or measuring items and comparing size, weight, description, and code numbers with information on invoice or packing slip and purchase orders; record any discrepancies or damage.

· Inspect shipments for damage and defects.

· Move inventory to various locations manually and by operating mechanical equipment, including fork lift, pallet jack, and handcart.

· Read and fill requisitions for stock items. Verify accuracy of orders received.

· Load and unload delivery truck by hand or by use of fork lift.

· Operate tools, equipment, and vehicles according to prescribed safety procedures.

· Follow established safety procedures and techniques to perform job duties including lifting, carrying, etc.

· Detect needed repairs on vehicles and equipment by following established inspection procedures.

· Work with all department in order to guaranty quality and accuracy of items shipped and items received.

· Backup scheduler of shipments and data entry.

· Participate in all physical inventories

· All other duties as assigned.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

High school graduate or equivalent GED certification.

Requires six months to one year experience in production environment.

Basic Computer Skills.

Must be self-motivated and have good organizational skills.

Ability to obtain fork lift certification.

LANGUAGE SKILLS

Good English communication skills, both verbal and written

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally required to sit and

frequently required to stand; walk; use hands & fingers; talk and hear. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 75 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color

vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to moving mechanical parts and vibration. The employee is occasionally exposed to high, precarious places; fumes or airborne particles; toxic, flammable or caustic chemicals; outside weather conditions; and extreme heat. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate
