Job Description

Job Location: Mt Juliet - Mt. Juliet, TN 37122POSITION SUMMARY:
Primarily responsible for overseeing packaging, processing and shipping of all parts orders and chair orders.
PRINCIPAL JOB DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Preparing product for shipment, utilizing best pack methods available and / or utilizing Sunrise standard packing procedures.
- Using the ERP system (JDE, Precision, C2, etc), prepare all shipping documentation (BOL’s, packing lists, commercial invoices, etc) and ensure the appropriate docs accompany each shipment.
- Effectively communicate with freight companies via email and / or in person (dispatchers, drivers, reps, etc).
- Maintain proper stocking levels of packaging materials at all times, notifying Buyer of any needed materials.
- Work closely with department leads and Manufacturing Controller to address past due orders and expedited orders.
- Responsible for communicating expedites to internal and external customers.
- Monitor CTPAT compliance and activities.
- Assists Materials Manager / Inventory Analyst with the preparation and carrying out physical inventory.
- Monitor and schedule direct report work schedule based on order rate needs.
- Responsible for following all applicable safety / housekeeping guidelines.
- Perform and monitor necessary preventative maintenance.
- Work with other departments to keep production flow moving.
- Maintain and Monitor Department Scoreboards consisting of daily goals, part shortages, quality, and safety.
- Notify department manager of any adjustments to direct reports timecard as needed.
- Support Materials Manager to ensure that all company processes and procedures are being followed.
- Maintain professional demeanor with all employees, vendors, customers etc.
- Communicate to department manager any production associate issues and concerns.
- May work on special projects/assignments upon request. Responsible for fair distribution of workload among the associates.

QualificationsREQUIRED SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE:
- High School Diploma or GED is preferred
- Knowledge of JDE system, KANBAN system preferred.
- Ability to read and comprehend (in English) simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
- Ability to add and subtract two digit numbers and to multiply and divide all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals.
