The Shipping Coordinator is responsible for accurately pulling, packing and loading goods for shipment for an on-time delivery with minimal oversight. This role primarily fills small parcel orders, custom pick-up (CPU) orders and some less-than-truck-load (LTL) orders This role involves coordinating with internal teams, carriers, and customers to ensure smooth and efficient shipping operations.
Shifts Available:
This position is full-time, Monday - Friday, 5:00pm - 1:30am, $20.00/hr.
Responsibilities and Duties
Shipping Process
Process customer orders for shipment, ensuring that all items are picked, packed, loaded and shipped in accordance with company policies and customer requirements.
Prepare shipping documentation, including shipping labels, packing slips, and invoicing.
Ensure that all orders are shipped out on time, monitoring any delays or issues that arise and escalating them as necessary.
Identify short picks and escalate as necessary.
Identify product discrepancies and communicate with management.
Perform basic tasks within the enterprise resource planning tool, UPS WorldShip, FedEx Freight Manager and Freight View.
Assessed by performance measures of fill rate and accuracy rate.
Follow export shipment requirements under the United States-Mexico-Canada Agreement (USMCA).
Quality Control
Work closely with the warehouse and inventory teams to ensure that shipped items match inventory records.
Perform proper packaging of products to prevent damage during transit and ensure all items are labeled correctly for shipping, including the use of barcodes and tracking numbers.
Assist with regular cycle counts or stock audits as needed to maintain inventory accuracy.
Work Environment
Maintain a clean and organized workspace.
Maintain cleanliness within the warehouse facility.
Seek guidance from other warehouse associates to expand knowledge of shipping and warehouse operations.
Follow the attendance policy in accordance with the company’s employee handbook.
Communicate effectively and efficiently with other warehouse associates and customers on shipments.
Safety
Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, including hazardous materials handling and safety standards.
Safely operate various pieces of equipment, such as electric pallet jack, wave (man lift), Taylor Dunn (stock chaser) and Forklift.
Successfully complete the Powered Industrial Truck (PIT) training.
Successfully complete the Hazardous Materials training.
Comply with all other company safety policies and procedures.

Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and company policies during receiving, storage, and material handling processes. Safely operate powered industrial equipment such as pallet jacks and lifts, follow proper unloading protocols, and successfully complete required safety training, including PIT certification.
Competencies and Qualifications
High School Diploma, GED, or suitable equivalent required.
A minimum of 3-5 years of work experience in a warehouse environment required.
Experience operating warehouse equipment such as a forklift and electric pallet jack required.
Comfortable working in a heavy-duty warehouse environment.
Knowledge of safety standards in a warehouse environment.
Ability to read and write and perform simple mathematics.
Ability to use and understand a ruler and/or tape measurer.
Basic computer skills such as file storage, control panel navigation, internet and email utilization.
Ability to work with a diverse range of people.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Good communication skills, both written and verbal.
Proficient organizational skills.
Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
Physical Requirements
Ability to lift and carry 75 lbs. individually and up to 100 lbs. with other associates.
