Occupational Title: Shipping Coordinator

Location: Lexington

Department Materials

Manager/Supervisor Warehouse Manager

The Shipping Coordinator serves as an interface between Shipping and our Order Management team. This person will also complete transactions and paperwork to ensure shipments are completed on time.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Review Job Orders and distribute Pick Lists
  • Process Bill of ladings
  • Initiating change orders (changing carriers)
  • Sending Automatic Ship Notifications (ASN’s)
  • Scheduling RMA pick ups
  • Coordinate Carrier shipments
  • Sample order creation and setup
  • Verifying non-standard shipment arrangements
  • Scheduling shipments outside of planned routes
  • Record keeping of outbound shipments
  • Debit/Credit Memo’s – complete transactions based on emails from Quality
  • Partial coverage when Receiving Coordinator is out
  • Communication of quality alerts

Qualifications:

  • Ability to produce, organize, distribute documents and transactions needed to ship material within the facility inventory systems
  • Experience dealing with material movement through a computerized tracking system
  • Good oral and written communication skills
  • Proficient using general office equipment and computer system (Microsoft Office Suite)

Minimum Education required High School diploma or GED

Minimum Experience Required:

  • Previous data entry experience
  • Intermediate computer skills
  • Experience in warehousing and inventory management
  • Attention to detail
