Ships completed units and parts to customers utilizing various carriers in a timely manner. Works under direct supervision.
RESPONSIBILITIES:Verifies model and serial numbers and item description on the unit against shop traveller accompanying the unit. Notifies the requestor if numbers do not match.Packages/inspect material appropriately for shipment.Completes the item to stock location on computer. Looks up stock number to identify sales order and shipping instructions. Verifies information with appropriate territory representative (TR).Prepares necessary shipping documents manually or on automated systems and performs necessary system transactions as needed.Coordinates pick up and tracks shipments of various freight carriers.Files paperwork supporting shipping procedures.Maintains cleanliness and orderliness of shipping area.Filling and scanning of shipment document.Investigates and / or fixes issues/problems.Adhere to organizational requirements on quality management, health and safety, code of conduct, legal stipulations, environmental, 5S policies and general duty of care.Maintain confidentiality of all information related to the production processes and components, business and other technology including materials.Other duties as assigned.
WORK ENVIRONMENTLocation: alternate work locations of external logistics (Bayan Lepas or Penang Science Park, Simpang Ampat.Work in standard office environment and used office equipment (phone, PC, copier, fax machine etc.)Required for unit identification.
QUALIFICATIONS:Basic knowledge of MRP and Logistics Systems.Good written and verbal communication skills.Basic mathematic skills.
EXPERIENCE:Essential:Three (3) to Five (5) years of experience as a clerk. Desirable:Prefer experienced in Logistic/Shipping.
EDUCATION:Essential:High school education or a combination of relevant experience and/or education that is equivalent to a Diploma / Bachelor’s Degree. Desirable:Prefer multiple SAP R/3 Logistics module certifications.Prefer certification in Windows, Excel, and Word and / or equivalent experience at an intermediate level.
