Job Description

Our client, one of the main ship registration service providers in Malta, is currently looking for a Shipping Clerk to join their team. In this role, the selected candidate will be handling a portfolio of international clients across a wide range of industries, as well as the company's private clients.

This is a hybrid role offering a salary of up to €25K + performance based bonus

Please note that only candidates already based in Malta will be considered.

Role & Responsibilities

• Carry out general administrative duties within the shipping department
• Support the crewing team in reviewing applications, documentation and certification
• Apply for the release of STCW Endorsements and Seamen's Books
• Liaise with Transport Malta and follow up on the release of documentation
• Liaise with clients and crew agencies
• Issue relevant invoices and follow up on settlement

Education, Skills & Experience

• A' Level standard of education
• Previous experience in an administration or secretarial role is a plus
• Excellent written and spoken English (native or bilingual level)
• Maltese is an advantage
• Proficiency in MS Word, MS Excel and Outlook
• Well organised and accurate, and able to work under pressure
• Able to work well as part of a team
