Shipping Clerk

Starting Pay: $20/hr

Shift: Monday-Thursday 10am-8pm

American Products is seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Shipping Clerk to join our Operations team. This position is responsible for supporting shipping, receiving, inventory control, and warehouse organization to help keep operations running efficiently.

What You'll Do

• Prepare and process outgoing shipments using the most efficient and cost-effective shipping methods
• Create bills of lading and verify shipments against work orders
• Receive, inspect, and verify incoming materials and deliveries
• Sort, package, label, and organize inventory and materials
• Deliver materials to appropriate departments and project locations
• Track and resolve shipment issues, including proof of delivery requests
• Support warehouse organization and 5S initiatives
• Participate in weekly cycle counts and inventory control activities
• Maintain shipping, receiving, and inventory records
• Obtain freight quotes and coordinate shipments
• Safely operate warehouse equipment, including pallet jacks, hand dollies, and forklifts

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred
• Previous warehouse, shipping/receiving, or inventory experience preferred
• Experience with ERP systems, such as Syteline, is a plus
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, and Outlook
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Self-motivated with a commitment to continuous improvement
• Ability to work safely and follow all PPE and safety requirements

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly and up to 80 pounds occasionally
• Ability to work in a warehouse and manufacturing environment
