of Position: Responsible for the integrity of all guest and group related packages and envelopes, their distribution and record keeping. Responsible for receiving in house packages, record keeping, delivering, data entry into computer and paperwork trails to accounts payable.

Essential Job Functions:

• Receive parcels from couriers, keeping accurate count of packages received prior to signing delivery receipt.
• Create a log of the packages received into the hotel’s computer system database.
• Distribute notes in Epitome to guest rooms.
• Prepare daily inventory
• Track and sort deliveries of parcels for guests and hotel departments
• Process packages through in house receiving software, printing receipts for each package and processing the paper work through accounts payable.
• Responsible for keeping “undelivered” packages organized in storage container until delivery is made.
• Verify recipient’s room number through Epitome, notifying guests via voice mail that the package has arrived.
• Use of Federal Express Powership, UPS online and Airborne Express software.
• Provide service for packaging and shipping parcels through a multitude of couriers.
• Post shipping and handling charges to guests as required
• Reporting of packages shipped/received
• Assist in f&b store room as requested by manager
• Assist with “in-house” receiving as requested by manager.

Required Skills:

• Ability to use and/or learn to use storeroom equipment including pallet jacks, flat bed carts, etc.

Tools & Equipment:

• Computer and printer, telephone, pen/pencil, photo-copying machine, file folders, filing cabinet, facsimile machine, pallet jack, manual pallet jack, flat bed carts

Working Environment:

• Walk-in-refrigerators/freezers
• Exposure to extreme heat and cold
• Exposure to various hazardous chemicals
• Interior of hotel, in the food and beverage areas.

Physical Job Requirements (for essential functions only)

• Ability to lift up to 75lbs
• Standing, sitting, walking
