Job Description

Under the direct supervision of the Facilities Manager, the Shipper/Receiver is responsible for the overall maintenance of par stock levels for alcoholic beverages while contributing to a safe and welcoming work environment for all team members. This position has a dotted line report to the F & B Director. Ensures adherence to the Company's policies and procedures, motivates and leads by example and supports Great Canadian's learning environment while establishing a safe and welcoming work environment for all team members.

Key Accountabilities

  • Analyzes inventory levels and in conjunction with the Supervisor, Stores and Receiving, prepare purchase orders.
  • Liaises regularly with Food and Beverage Operations
  • In conjunction with the receiving department, receive, stores and issues alcoholic goods to the appropriate department
  • Manages stock levels based on historical data and immediate requirements.
  • Maintains accurate stock records
  • Checks invoices against purchase orders and against actual receipts
  • Prepares spoilage/damaged goods reports weekly.
  • Calculates the actual cost of requisitions issued
  • Prepares reports on stock movements/trends and slow moving item.
  • Liaises and communicates effectively with all appropriate operational departments
  • Develops and cultivates strong working relationships with all stakeholders (guests, ownership and team members)
  • Ensures compliance with licensing laws, health and safety and other statutory regulations
  • Performs other duties as assigned or directed

Education and Qualifications

  • High School Diploma
  • Post Secondary Education preferred
  • Minimum 2 years stores experience
  • Ability to successfully obtain a Gaming License
  • Abili ty to exceed internal and external customer expectations through timely, effective and service oriented communication
  • Knowledge of alcoholic beverages and the ability to recognize trends
  • Mathematical abilities
  • Computer literacy in MS Office

Work Environment Considerations

  • Regular back office and stores environment, walking for long periods of time, lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, bending, stretching, driving
