Join Central Alberta Co-op as a Shipper/Receiver and help ensure smooth receiving, accurate preparation of shipping product, and appealing displays. Bring your positive attitude and commitment to great customer service. If you're detail-oriented and safety-minded, we’d love to have you on our team.

Position: Shipper/Receiver

Part-time: 24 – 36 hours per week. Eligible for benefits after 3 months. If you are relocating from another province, please ensure you have AB Health coverage to be covered by our plan provider.

Availability: Weekdays and weekends- mornings, afternoons, and evenings.

Responsibilities:

  • Receive and unpack product following proper receiving habits, including accurate piece counts and documentation of damages or shortages.

  • Count, stock, face, and rotate inventory using the First In, First Out (FIFO) process.

  • Ensure products are displayed, stored, and signed in a manner that will not damage the products.

  • Prepare merchandise for transportation and prepare proper documentation.

  • Ensure warehouse cleanliness and safety by emptying containers, sweeping floors, and using PPE appropriately.

  • Ensure that all customers are pleasantly welcomed and handle special customer requests in an efficient and friendly manner.

  • Assist with inventory control through counts and visual inspections.

  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment.

  • Perform additional duties as assigned by the manager.

Qualifications:

  • High School is preferred.

  • Experience in customer service is preferred.

  • Exceptional attention to detail and quality.

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

  • Outstanding customer service and communication skills.

  • Team player with the ability to work independently.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs;some heavy lifting is required.

  • Applicants must be over 14 years old (Employment Standards mandates a permitto employ a person aged 14 or under, thus disclosure is required).
