We are currently seeking a Shipper/Inventory Summer Student to join our Etobicoke, ON Distribution Centre summer team for the summer term.

The Shipper/Inventory Summer Student plays an important role in supporting daily operations within a fast-paced, high-volume distribution centre. This position provides hands-on experience in shipping, inventory coordination, and logistics support while working closely with Customer Service, Inventory Deployment, and Transportation teams.

The successful candidate will contribute to meeting operational service levels while maintaining accuracy, efficiency, and professionalism in a shipping office environment.

Work Schedule Mon-Fri; 8:30am – 4:30pm

Salary $20.81/hour

What You’ll do

• Process incoming and outgoing orders and inventory transfers using internal operating systems
• Support daily workload coordination by dispatching activities according to established service and quality standards
• Prepare and complete shipping and customs documentation for LTL, truckload, pickups, and courier shipments
• Assist with inventory preparation, replenishment, and cycle counting activities
• Transfer inventory for bin location restocking and stock optimization as required
• Collaborate with internal teams to resolve order or transfer discrepancies
• Interact professionally with drivers, carriers, and customers
• Support customer complaint investigations when required
• Perform other duties as assigned

What You’ll Bring

• Currently enrolled in or recently completed a high school diploma or post-secondary studies
• Previous experience in distribution, logistics, or customer service is considered an asset
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook)
• Experience working in an RF or warehouse management system environment is an asset
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage changing priorities
• Successful completion of a CTPAT background check is required

Working Conditions

Primarily office-based with occasional walking through warehouse and yard areas. Minimal physical effort required; may involve light carrying or lifting. High-paced environment with multiple competing priorities and deadlines. The incumbent is required to follow all workplace health and safety policies and procedures
