Reporting to the Warehouse Supervisor, the Shipper Receiver is responsible for proper receiving and placement of goods and materials into designated receiving areas.

Key Position Functions:

  • Unload and visually inspect all incoming goods, products and corresponding documentation, report errors or damages, fill out forms for damaged and returned items and route them correctly.
  • Print receiving ticket, fill in all necessary parameters, sign and submit for receiving as directed.
  • Ensure proper workflow of packing slips, receiving tickets, MTRs, and related documents.
  • Put away incoming material as per receiving instructions, Quality Control Procedures, and other requirements.
  • Load and unload vehicles, trailers and sea-cans using a variety of forklifts.
  • Assist Coordinators/Pickers when required.
  • Advise Purchasing and Manufacturing of material shortages or delivery delays.
  • Ensure proper and timely flow of paperwork for pick lists, purchase orders, packing slips, receipt registers, etc.
  • Perform warehouse duties such as maintain and organize goods and materials, keep areas clean and orderly.
  • Ensure processes and forklift operations are performed in accordance with safety regulations and are carried out in a conscientious manner.
  • Perform other duties assigned by Supervisor/Lead Hand.

Preferred candidates will possess a combination of the following:

  • High School Diploma, supplemented with 1 to 2 years of related shipping and receiving experience.
  • Mechanical assembly/repair experience an asset.
  • Forklift experience is an asset.
  • Computer skills using Microsoft Office or an ERP system; use of RF guns.
  • Strong commitment to workplace health and safety.
  • Strong communication (oral and written), organizational and interpersonal skills.
  • Detail oriented, strong work ethic, self-motivated.
  • Accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Ability to multi-task and a willingness to learn.
  • Ability to work independently and in a fast-paced team environment.
