Compensation: $26.92 per hour
Schedule: 1st shift, Monday - Friday 10:30 a.m. - 6:30 p.m.
A Brief Summary of This Position
In addition to all Shipper Adutiesthisindividual contributor positionis responsible forloadingofpipe and tubing, as per shipping orders and pick sheetResponsible forcheckingthe proper identification of material being shipped by size, gauge, length,count,and qualityOperates theforklift, side loader, shag truck, banding tools, andoperatesthe 353 magneticcraneon a rotation basis.
Essential Functions:
Load pipe and tubing per shipping orders and pick sheet
Accurately process bills of lading, shipping orders, and other paperwork asrequired
Operate various equipment includingforklift, side loader, shag truck, banding tools, and magnetic crane
Perform mag crane safety checks as required including inspection of rails, wheels, and condition of cables
Report any unsafe conditions to supervisor
Whenoperating353 magcrane, keepaccuratecount of pipe loaded and unloaded and record size and gauge handled
Handle scrap from all departments asrequiredand control the flow of Alter scrap trailers
Assistwith cycle counts and material handling moves from staging to storage
Important Details about the Role
This position isalsoresponsible for reporting any unsafe conditions to supervisor
Perform mag crane safety checks as required including inspection of rails, wheels, and condition of cables
This position reports into the Shipping Supervisor and has no direct reports and no indirect reports
RequiredQualificationsof Every Candidate (Education, Experience, Knowledge,Skillsand Abilities)
Three (3) years relevant shipping or loading experience
Ability to accurately read tape measures and micrometers
Ability to stand 90% of time
Able to work outside in extreme heat or cold
Able to climb onto flatbed trailers 10’to 13’
Able tooperateforklift overhead cranes, shag truck,handand banding tools
Must beaccuratein logging inventory transactions
The ability to work over ten hours a week in overtime whenrequiredfor business needs
