Job Description: Shipper and Receiver Vape Wholesaler

Position Overview: A Shipper and Receiver is responsible for managing the shipment and receipt of vape products, gummies, and other alternative goods, ensuring accuracy in inventory, and maintaining efficient workflow within the facility. This role involves physical labor, attention to detail, and the ability to work with various shipping and inventory management systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Shipping:
  • Prepare and package outgoing shipments accurately and efficiently.
  • Generate and affix shipping labels, packing lists, and other necessary documentation.
  • Coordinate with carriers to schedule pickups and ensure timely delivery.
  • Inspect outgoing shipments for accuracy and completeness.
  • Receiving:
  • Unload and inspect incoming shipments for accuracy, quality, and damage.
  • Verify quantities and conditions of goods against purchase orders and packing lists.
  • Record and report any discrepancies or damages to the appropriate parties.
  • Properly label and store received items in designated locations.
  • Inventory Management:
  • Maintain accurate records of inventory transactions.
  • Conduct regular inventory counts and audits.
  • Assist in maintaining an organized and clean facility.
  • Update inventory management systems with accurate data.
  • Documentation and Reporting:
  • Complete and maintain accurate shipping and receiving logs and records.
  • Prepare reports on shipping and receiving activities as required.
  • Ensure all documentation complies with company policies and regulations.
  • Communication and Coordination:
  • Collaborate with internal departments such as purchasing, production, and sales to ensure smooth operations.
  • Communicate with suppliers and carriers regarding shipments and deliveries.
  • Resolve issues related to shipping delays, damages, or discrepancies.
  • Safety and Compliance:
  • Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations in the warehouse or shipping area.
  • Operate equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and hand trucks safely and efficiently.
  • Follow company policies and procedures for handling hazardous materials, if applicable.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

Skills:

  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy in handling shipments and inventory.
  • Basic computer skills and familiarity with inventory management systems.
  • Effective communication and teamwork abilities.
  • Physical stamina to handle repetitive lifting and standing for extended periods.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Previous experience in shipping, receiving, or warehouse operations preferred.
  • Knowledge of shipping regulations and procedures is a plus.
  • Must have good communication skills.
  • Shipping clerk, shipping & receiving coordinator, inventory control specialist, shipping & receiving supervisor, warehouse manager.
  • Detailed and organized a must

Working Conditions:

  • Warehouse or shipping environment.
  • May require lifting of heavy items (up to 50 lbs) and standing for long periods.
  • Use of personal protective equipment (PPE) as required.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $14.00 - $16.00 per hour
*Also possible commission structure.*

Expected hours: 40 per week

Schedule:

  • 8 hour shift
  • Day shift
  • Monday to Friday
  • Weekends as needed

Education:

  • High school or equivalent (Required)

Experience:

  • Warehouse experience: 3 years (Preferred)
  • Shipping & receiving: 3 years (Preferred)
  • Warehouse management: 1 years (Preferred)

License/Certification:

  • Forklift Certification (Preferred)

Ability to Commute:

  • Longview, TX (Required)

Work Location: In person
Compensation: $14.00 - $16.00 per hour
