
As a Ship-to-Shore Technician, you will play a vital role in supporting the safe and efficient operation of vessels arriving and departing at the port. This position involves working on the dock to ensure the proper mooring, securing, and release of ships, while maintaining safety and operational standards. In addition to mooring responsibilities, the role will also involve performing general maintenance and support tasks as required to ensure overall port and equipment readiness.

Essential Experience Required:
Must be physically fit. Must have strong customer service skills. Ability to work in an outdoor environment. Ability to multi-task and think critically. Previous work experience preferred. Prolonged periods standing and working outside. Must be able to lift, up to 50 pounds at times. All island employees must be physically able to participate in emergency lifesaving procedures and drills. Full use/range of motion of arms and legs as well as full visual, verbal and hearing abilities are required to receive and give instructions in the event of an emergency. Ability to read and write English to understand and interpret written procedures. This includes the ability to give and receive instructions in written and verbal forms and to effectively present information and respond to questions from guests, managers, and co-workers.
