Job Description
The Shift Supervisor is responsible for overseeing and directing armed security operations within an assigned post area at Camp Bondsteel, Kosovo. Serving as the on-shift leader, the Shift Supervisor ensures all security personnel perform their duties in accordance with contract requirements, security procedures, and applicable regulations. This position provides continuous supervision of armed security operations on a 24/7/365 basis, maintains operational readiness, coordinates emergency response activities, and ensures the protection of U.S. Government personnel, facilities, equipment, and property.
The Shift Supervisor serves as the primary point of contact for assigned guards, provides leadership and oversight during daily operations, and ensures compliance with established security policies, post orders, and Rules of Engagement.

RESPONSIBILITIES
- Supervise and direct armed security personnel assigned to an operational shift and designated post area.
- Ensure continuous security coverage and compliance with staffing requirements, post orders, and contractual obligations.
- Monitor and oversee installation access control operations, including personnel and vehicle screening procedures.
- Conduct supervisory patrols, inspections, and evaluations of guard posts, access control points, surveillance positions, and perimeter security operations.
- Coordinate shift activities and ensure effective communication between guards, command personnel, and government representatives.
- Respond to and manage security incidents, emergencies, alarms, unauthorized entry attempts, accidents, fires, and other critical events.
- Ensure subordinate personnel properly conduct searches, inspections, and security screening operations utilizing government-furnished equipment.
- Review, verify, and submit incident reports, daily activity logs, access-control reports, and other required operational documentation.
- Enforce compliance with Rules of Engagement (ROE), standing operating procedures, and security regulations.
- Account for and oversee the proper use and safeguarding of government-furnished weapons, communications equipment, vehicles, ammunition, PPE, and other assigned assets.
- Mentor, train, and provide guidance to security personnel to ensure professional performance and mission readiness.
- Maintain accountability for personnel conduct, appearance, discipline, and adherence to installation policies.
QUALIFICATIONS
- S. Citizen.
- Minimum of four (4) years of supervisory experience within the last ten (10) years in one or more of the following fields:
- Armed Security Services
- Law Enforcement
- Military Service
- Supervisory experience may be gained through service in the U.S. Armed Forces, civilian law enforcement agencies (Federal, State, or Local), or commercial security organizations.
- Must meet security screening requirements for armed supervisory personnel, including a favorably adjudicated Tier 3 background investigation or equivalent security determination.
- Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English, including radio communications, report writing, and emergency response coordination.
- Ability to supervise personnel in a dynamic operational environment while maintaining effective leadership and decision-making skills.
- Must complete annual firearms qualification and maintain proficiency on all assigned weapon systems.
- Must successfully complete initial and annual Physical Ability Testing in accordance with AR 190-56.
- Must meet all medical, hearing, vision, and physical fitness standards required for armed security personnel.
- Must pass pre-employment, random, reasonable-suspicion, and incident-related drug and alcohol testing.
- Must maintain professional appearance, conduct, and adherence to all installation policies and standards of behavior.
