The Opportunity

Orrcon Steel Manufacturing is looking for a Shift Supervisor to join and lead the Production Operations Team based in O'Sullivans Beach Orrcon Steel Manufacturing is a leading Australian supplier of steel and aluminium products, offering a comprehensive range engineered to meet the demands of diverse industries. In this hands-on leadership role, you will lead, coach and empower Production Operators across a range of manufacturing areas, maintaining a high-visibility presence on the floor and leading by example. Ideal for a leader who understands the physical, mechanical and technical demands of a manufacturing environment, this role requires close collaboration with Planning, Maintenance, Despatch and other operational teams to ensure the safe, efficient and on-time delivery of products to our customers. We are seeking someone who is passionate about building high-performing teams, fostering a strong safety culture, maintaining high-quality standards, and driving continuous improvement across the operation.

As a key member of our operations team, you'll enjoy working a rotating shift pattern of one week on day shift and one week on afternoon shift, along with a monthly RDO.

What Will You Do?

With a strong focus on teamwork, you will be:

• providing clear direction and oversight to ensure all mill operations run smoothly
• working closely with your team to manage daily operations, ensuring they have the guidance and/or support needed to meet workload demands
• identifying practical ways to improve performance and mitigate risks, with a consistent focus on achieving on-time delivery for our customers
• overseeing essential administrative duties, including accurate payroll processing, incident reporting, and maintaining operational data
• actively developing the team’s technical capabilities to help them progress and master their roles
