While reporting to the Production Superintendent, as the Shift Supervisor you will be responsible for the safety, quality, productivity, material handling, and cost performance of the Location plant.

You will supervise and coordinate the activities of hourly employees on assigned shifts; implementing and maintaining best manufacturing practices in this non-union facility.

Salary Range - $102,000 - $120,300

This position is located at our Brantford Paper Mill.

What you'll be doing:

· Ensure the safety of all employees; lead safety teams and programs on assigned shift to prevent injuries

· Supervise all production activities for assigned shift, schedule shift employees, and crew machines to cover vacations, absence, and overtime

· Meet or exceed productivity, cost, or other performance metric expectations for assigned shift

· Implement and maintain best manufacturing practices

· Direct shift in continuous improvement initiatives, such as SPS, 6 Sigma, Kaizen events, and lean manufacturing.

· Coordinate production scheduling on shift to meet customer demands, to manage overtime, to minimize inventory, and to reduce costs

· Support quality initiatives to ensure product meets or exceeds customer expectations

· Build and maintain productive employee relationships, driving employee satisfaction by providing direction, training, and development as needed.

· Provide coaching, counseling, or discipline as needed and recommend disciplinary action to Production Manager.

We'd love to hear from you if:

· You to have a BS degree in engineering, business, sciences or equivalent experience

· You have at least 3-5 years of experience; preferably manufacturing, preferably in the paper-making industry

· You must be comfortable using Word, Excel and Power Point and have worked with ERP

· Strong communication and teamwork skills

· Must be willing to work 12-hour continental rotating shifts, along with the crew you will be assigned to
