Job Description

A. Job Purpose

· This role reports directly to the APU Operational Manager (Sanofi Vietnam).

· This position is responsible for managing all production activities during the shift, ensuring compliance with regulations on quality, safety, and production targets (Standards, OEE, PCT, Resources).

· This position is to manage group of 20-50 operators.

B. Key working relationships:

· INTERNAL: Engineering team, Manufacturing Excellent team, Quality team, Plant supply Chain team, HSE team

· EXTERNAL: supplier, contractor, third party employees

C. Key Accountabilities

1. Managerial Accountability

· Full accountability for production results and KPIs.

· Ensure timely achievement of operational targets and strategic objectives.

· Drive ownership culture across all levels of the production organization

· Be role model of strict compliance with company policies in-term of HSE, Quality, and other regulations.

· Responsible for compliance with work procedures, GMP standards, HSE standards, by all working shifts.

· High engagement and contribution to develop the compliant culture at the workshop

2. People Management

· Train, guide, and support new employees to ensure they understand production processes and relevant regulations.

· Monitor and evaluate employee performance, attitude, and teamwork; recommend rewards or disciplinary actions when necessary.

· Foster a professional working environment that promotes teamwork, personal responsibility, and a “Zero Tolerance for Negligence” culture.

· Manage dedicated operators within the shift to deliver production targets (Quality, OEE, PCT, Standards)

· Develop operators for growth by defining individual skill matrix and follow-up action plan for their development.

· Ensure all operators are well trained and suitable for working conditions.

• Production Line Management

· Responsible for the entire production process: granulation, blending, tablet compression, coating, packaging… ensuring compliance with GMP and HSE procedures and efficient production operations.

· Ensure the receipt, storage, and use of materials, ingredients, and packaging in accordance with regulations

· Ensure production documentation: accurately and promptly record batch records, machine logs, and production reports.

· Positively Cooperate with other departments (Engineering and Maintenance, Quality) to control and promptly resolve any issues arising during production.

· Make decision within the role and escalate to manager or other relative departments for deviation and quick actions

• Asset & Equipment Management

· Responsible for any losses of product and assets (consumables, tools, equipment, documents) Ensure effective use and preservation of machinery, equipment, tools, and workplace assets to prevent loss.

• Reporting & Continuous Improvement

· Participate in proposing initiatives to improve production processes, enhance productivity, and product quality.

· Be active in Continuous Improvement process

· Constructive coordination with manager and process expert for process improvement

· Constructive coordination with managers and other departments for investigations

· Drive organizational change and transformation initiatives.

· Demonstrate strong adaptability and open-mindedness to evolving business needs.

· Communicate change effectively and secure buy-in from stakeholders

D. About you

Education: College degree or higher

Experience:

· Minimum 3 years of experience in production management, preferably in pharmaceutical, cosmetics, or biotechnology industries

· Capable of managing production line operations effectively

· Solid understanding of pharmaceutical manufacturing processes, equipment operation, and GMP/HSE standards.

· Proven ability to lead and motivate teams, resolve conflicts, and foster a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.

Good at English is a plus
