The Shift Manager will be responsible for overseeing the operations and staff during a designated shift, ensuring efficiency, customer satisfaction, and profitability. This role involves coordinating team members, managing schedules, and resolving any issues that may arise during the shift.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; a degree in business administration or relevant field is a plus
- Proven experience in a supervisory or management role, preferably in the retail or hospitality industry
- Excellent leadership and communication skills
- Ability to make decisions quickly and solve problems effectively
- Strong organizational and time-management abilities
- Knowledge of basic computer applications and point of sale (POS) systems
Responsibilities:
- Supervise and coordinate the activities of staff during a shift to ensure smooth operations
- Train and onboard new team members, and provide ongoing coaching and support
- Create and adjust employee schedules to meet staffing requirements
- Monitor inventory levels and order supplies as needed
- Address customer inquiries and concerns in a professional manner
- Enforce company policies and procedures to maintain a safe and clean work environment
- Collaborate with the management team to develop strategies for improving efficiency and increasing sales
- Prepare reports on sales, employee performance, and other key metrics
- Stay up-to-date on industry trends and best practices to enhance the shift operations
