Job Description

What You’ll be doing

  • Manage and develop the nightshift team through ongoing coaching and feedback to deliver outstanding results
  • Implement and embed continuous improvement initiatives to enhance site and centrally driven processes
  • Accountable for overseeing van resource allocation, stock inventory, and maintenance to ensure efficient operations
  • Respond to customer demands and volume changes by flexing overnight operational resources to meet targets
  • Ensure compliance with legal and safety frameworks while being accountable for managing recruitment and headcount requirements

What makes a great Shift Manager (Nightshift)

  • Leadership experience in managing a team of managers and team members within a unionised environment
  • Proven track record in handling multi-drop delivery and customer final mile delivery operations.
  • Experienced in delivering on KPI performances to meet budgetary requirements and achieve an optimum cost to serve
  • Possesses management skills that engage and motivate colleagues at all levels
  • Capable of responding to customer demands and fluctuations at pace, ensuring the efficient delivery of a first-class service
