Job Description

JOB DESCRIPTION Shift Manager

The shift manager will be responsible for supervising all team members during his/her scheduled shift. The shift manager will oversee a productive shift, ensuring all guests have a great experience and that all team members stay focused on guests, the dining area, including the restrooms and 2nd mile service.

Job Functions:

  1. Help implement the plans of the Director in charge

  2. Know projected sales and labor goals for your shift

  3. Communicate Drive Thru goals to the Drive Thru Team.

  4. Perform shift huddles before all peak periods of business.

  5. Keep yourself and team productive and adjust labor when needed.

  6. Make sure team stays motivated and focused on guest service.

  7. When necessary, coach and/or document if necessary when team member needs to improve performance

  8. Complete mandatory checklists daily.

  9. Document issues and injuries

  10. Read and stay abreast of issues through Manager Communications page

  11. Complete all training available through Chick-Fil-A website

  12. Be responsible for cash flow, and follow all cash handling procedures.

Minimum requirements

  1. 18 years

  2. Lift up to 50 pounds repeatedly

  3. Able to stand to perform job functions for the entire shift

  4. Math aptitude and comfort level with technology

  5. Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of management, team members and guests

  6. Minimum 2 years front counter experience

  7. Proven supervisory experience

Additional Requirements

  1. Ability to multi-task and take on additional responsibilities in addition to shift management.

  2. Learn Quick and work under a variety of conditions including fast paced

  3. Follow all hygiene and safety rules including food safety and personal safety

  4. Positive friendly attitude
