Job Description

As a Shift Leader in the hospitality and catering industry, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our establishment during your shift. You will be responsible for overseeing staff, managing customer service, and maintaining high standards of food and beverage quality. This temporary position in Ferntree Gully, Victoria, offers a dynamic work environment where your leadership skills will directly contribute to our guests' satisfaction and the overall success of the business.

Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and coordinate the activities of staff during shifts to ensure efficient service delivery.
  • Manage customer inquiries and resolve any issues to maintain high levels of customer satisfaction.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and maintain cleanliness standards.
  • Assist in training new staff members and provide ongoing support to team members.
  • Monitor inventory levels and assist with stock management to ensure adequate supplies.
  • Prepare and maintain reports on shift performance and staff productivity.

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience as a shift leader or in a supervisory role within the hospitality industry.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively lead a team.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Basic knowledge of food safety and hygiene regulations.
  • Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends.
