Responsibilities:

• Supervisinganddirectingundergrounddevelopment,drillblastandhaulagecrews.

• Assigningdailytasksbasedonthemineplanandensuringallactivitiesarecompletedefficiently.

• Monitoringworkerperformance,providingcoaching,andenforcingcompanypolicies.

• Conductingpre-shiftmeetingstodiscussworkplans,safetyupdates,andequipmentstatus.

• Ensuringallminingactivitiesadheretominesafetyregulations,companypolicies,andlocal laws.

• Conductingworkplaceinspectionstoidentifyandmitigatehazardssuchasunstableground, poor ventilation, and equipment malfunctions.

• Investigatingincidents,nearmisses,orequipmentfailuresandreportingfindingsto management.

• Ensuringproperuseofpersonalprotectiveequipment(PPE)andenforcingsafetyprotocols.

• Coordinatingdrilling,blasting,mucking,andhaulageoperationstomaintainproductiontargets.

• Ensuringproperuseofminingequipment,includingjumbodrills,LHDs,haultrucksandIT’s.

• Troubleshootingoperationalchallengesandmakingreal-timedecisionstokeepproductionon track.

• Ensuringgroundsupportinstallation(rockbolts,shotcrete,wiremesh,etc.)iscompletedasper engineering standards.

• Verifyingthatventilation,dewatering,andpowersystemsarefunctioningcorrectly.

• Coordinatingwithmaintenanceteamstoensureallmachineryisinworkingorderandaddressing breakdowns promptly.

• Liaisingwithminemanagers,engineers,andothersupervisorstoalignshiftactivitieswithoverall mine planning.

• Preparingshiftreportsdetailingproductionprogress,equipmentstatus,safetyincidents,andany operational challenges.

• Communicatingwithincomingshiftsupervisorstoensuresmoothhandoversandcontinuityof operations.

• Leadingemergencyresponseeffortsincaseofaccidents,fires,rockfalls,orventilationfailures.

• Makingquick,informeddecisionstoresolveunexpectedissuesunderground.

• WorkincompliancewithISO14001and45001Standards.

QualificationRequirements

• Relevant Shift Boss Ticket, Mine Overseer Certificate or equivalent.

ExperienceAndSkills Requirements

• 5years’experienceasimilarrole

• ExperienceworkinginminingindustryandunderstandingofUndergroundminingprocess

• Experience with High Speed Jumbo Development, and the installation of Ground Support with a Jumbo.

• Supervision and management for setting up of Development crews to support and maximise development performance.
