The Opportunity

Our Processing and Logistics team are looking for a Shift Coordinator to join the team based at our Acacia Ridge Manufacturing facility. Orrcon Steel Distribution is a leading Australian supplier of steel and aluminium products, offering a comprehensive range engineered to meet the demands of diverse industries. Our products are backed by strong technical expertise, full traceability, and stringent quality standards. Supported by strategic supplier partnerships and a nationwide network of distribution centres, we ensure consistent availability, reliable performance, and dependable supply for customers across Australia.

Reporting to the Operations Coordinator, you will lead a team of 20 team members working with the manufacturing team to deliver exceptional outcomes for our QLD Customers. In this fast-paced site that handles over 500,000 tonnes of steel per year, you will have direct impact on the delivery performance of BlueScope Australian Steel Products.

What Will You Do?

The role will see you:

  • leading and supervising our operations area including product scheduling, machine operation and maintenance
  • supporting and assisting your team with daily operations
  • identifying opportunities to improve efficiency, performance and mitigate risk - striving for on time delivery for our customers
  • ensuring safety standards are continuously evolving, championing change when risks and opportunities are identified
  • growing and mentoring your team to develop their technical capability
