The Shelter Support Worker (SSW) works within a multi-disciplinary setting using a consultative and team approach to provide support and services to families, couples and individuals who are homeless within the City of Ottawa's Family Transitional Housing & Offsite Services, to ensure a safe and secure living/working environment, and to support the stabilization and implementation of the Client Service Plan. Completion of Grade 12
Community college diploma or university degree in a related field is desirable
Minimum of 1 year of related experience in a social services setting
Current Standard First Aid, CPR and/or AED certificates are assetsCrisis Prevention/Intervention training certificate is an asset
