The Role:

  • Prepare wax moulds to be coated for the boiler clave process and casting.

    A Shell operator must set up for production daily. They must run pre-coat on all racks. After racks have dried properly they must apply back up coats to all racks following SOP’S and IT’S until all coats and racks are finished, end of the shift clean-up is done daily

    • Pulls racks from wax room
    • Position full white precoat bucket under spinner
    • Fill fluidized bed to the bottom of slope with sand
    • Remove assembly from wax rack and inspect for defects and bad seals
    • Applies Pre-coat to assemblies
    • Applies Mulgrain sand to assemblies
    • Places assemblies on carousel
    • Removes assemblies from carousel and inspects
    • Fills or tops off tubs on carousel
    • Fills sand beds
    • Turns and replaces racks as needed
    • Cleans up daily

    Other duties may be assigned.

    • Observes and complies with all federal, state, and local safety and environmental regulations associated with this job.
    • Aids supervisor in identifying training needs.
    • Attends and participates in all scheduled training and educational programs identified for this position.
    • Conducts housekeeping for personal work area and shared facility space.

    Explain the intent and components of the Policy, including an overview of QS-9001 2015 Quality Management Systems, procedures and work instructions associated with this job.

Qualifications:

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.

LANGUAGE SKILLS: LEVEL 3 INTERMEDIATE SKILLS: ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure, manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of Company.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS: LEVEL 1 Minimum: Ability to add and subtract two-digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10’s and 100’s Ability to perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurement, volume and distance.

  • Some manufacturing experience preferred but not required.
