Job Description

We are looking for a Sheet Metal Fabricator to join our Prefab Shop in Knoxville, TN. You will help to build ductwork for our commercial construction job. You will be working in a covered shop assembling materials and ensuring accurate completion of assigned tasks.

Your main tasks:

  • To work safely no matter what. Safety is our highest priority.
  • Fabricate and assemble sheet metal products for commercial construction sites.
  • Operate different hand tools such as shears, benders, hammers, etc.
  • Read labeling and blueprints to ensure all products are built correctly to preset designs.
  • Starter Sheet Metal tool kit will be provided.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Experience, Training, and/or Certification:

  • Prior fabrication experience preferred.
  • Experience reading schematics or blueprints will be helpful but not required.
  • High School Diploma or GED is required if you want to participate in the apprenticeship program.

Additional Requirements:

  • Punctuality and reliability are the most important skills you need to bring to this job.
  • Work as a part of a team.
  • Perform basic “tape measure math” accurately and thoroughly.
  • Function capably in heat and cold in an unconditioned shop setting.
  • Physically fit to stand and walk throughout the 8 to 10 hour workday, reach outward consistently, and often lift/carry up to 60 lbs.
  • Work reaching above shoulders, crawling, squatting, kneeling, bending.
  • Exercise fine motor control, with excellent hand-eye coordination.
  • Consistently operate within Company Values and standards.
