Crane Currency has an immediate position opening for Sheeter Operator Entry Level, based out of Dalton, MA.

We're looking for a Sheeter Operator Entry Level in our Finishing Department. This position The operator is responsible for the overall operation of the sheeter and inspection systems ensuring that the paper meets customer specifications for each order. In addition, the operator also works with the Sheeter Helpers and trains Entry Level Operators.

This is an internal position which requires the certification as a Sheeter Helper Grade 3 and 480 hours of training at Grade 3 rate. Advancement to Entry Level Operator requires successful completion of training.

Key Responsibilities

• Read and sign off on all job related procedures and finishing specifications for each Grade.
• Operate Sheeter and understand the flow of the product through the equipment.
• Complete a grade / size change from start to finish.
• Perform inspection system testing according to procedures.
• Enter data for each new roll into the information system.
• Monitor sheet size and squareness.
• Monitor registration of all security features, making adjustments as needed.
• Review inspection reports; validate information and initial documents on every roll sheeted
• Evaluate results of daily audit and roll inspection systems.
• Retrieve and verify inspection test stickers.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Six months as Entry Level Operator to become Operator.
• Ability to read, write, keep neat and accurate records, and follow written and verbal instructions.
• Ability to read metric and standard rulers and perform mathematical functions.
• Ability to learn basic computer skills.
• Ability to fully understand the quality requirements of Crane & Co., Inc.’s products, and his/her role in ensuring this quality.
• Ability to lead and give instructions to Sheeter crews.
