Sheet Metal Technician (HVAC)

Location: Manchester, CT

Reporting To: Nick Stinson

Compensation: $30.00 - $45.00 / hour

We are seeking an experienced Sheet Metal Technician to join our Construction team. This role is responsible for installation of sheet metal products while also performing hands-on work in the field. Responsibilities

• Read and interpret blueprints, specifications, and job orders
• Fabricate, assemble, and install sheet metal components and systems
• Operate equipment such as shears, brakes, presses, and welding tools
• Ensure work is completed safely, on time, and according to specifications
• Communicate job progress and issues with management
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment with OSHA regulations
• Complete required documentation, including timesheets and job reports
  
  

Qualifications

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in sheet metal fabrication, HVAC ductwork installation, or mechanical construction preferred
• SM-1 (or higher) Sheet Metal License required
• Prior experience as a Lead Sheet Metal Mechanic, HVAC Foreman, or Supervisor strongly preferred
• Strong ability to read HVAC blueprints, duct layouts, and mechanical drawings
• Knowledge of duct fabrication, installation methods, and airflow systems
• Technical school training or relevant work experience preferred
• Ability to read blueprints and use standard measuring tools
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills

Physical Requirements

• Ability to perform physically demanding work, including lifting up to 50 lbs
• Frequent standing, walking, bending, and climbing
• Ability to work in various weather conditions and job site environments
