Aircraft Structures / Sheet Metal Mechanic

Location: Stuart, Florida Pay: $35–$40/hr (experience-based)

Type: Contract or Direct Hire

Shift: Flexible - ability to work any shift required

Relocation Assistance (Direct Hire): $10K–$20K, case-by-case

Position Overview

We are hiring experienced Aircraft Structures / Sheet Metal Mechanics to support a premier aviation program in Stuart, Florida. This is an opportunity to work on high-quality aircraft projects with competitive pay, strong benefits, and (for direct hire) sign-on and relocation incentives.

Compensation & Bonus

Direct Hire:

• Sign-on bonus: $10,000 (gross), paid on the first available paycheck after 120 days of continuous employment
• Relocation assistance: $10K–$20K (case-by-case, based on distance from Stuart, FL). Note: current Florida residents are not eligible.
• Benefits start after 30 days: Free medical, dental & vision coverage; holiday pay & vacation pay; 401(k) retirement plan

Contract:

• Competitive hourly pay ($35–$40/hr)
• Ongoing contract with potential to convert to a direct hire role
• No sign-on bonus or relocation assistance applies to contract positions

Key Responsibilities

• Perform aircraft sheet metal repairs, modifications, and installations
• Interpret blueprints, SRMs, and engineering drawings
• Drill, rivet, fabricate, and assemble structural components
• Ensure work meets FAA, safety, and quality standards

Required Qualifications

• Level 3/4 Sheet Metal Mechanic with minimum 3 years of relevant experience (5+ years aircraft structural experience preferred)
• Must pass virtual plate test and in-person plate test prior to offer being extended, or on first date of employment
• Ability to read aircraft blueprints and use precision tools
• Strong attention to quality, safety, and detail
• High School Diploma or equivalent required

Preferred Qualifications

• A&P License
