As a Sheet Metal Helper, you will be responsible for assisting Field Technicians with HVAC and Boiler services including cutting sheet metal, installing ductwork, assembling and installing HVAC equipment, steam boilers and pressure valves. Job duties and responsibilities:
* Assist with HVAC service and installations including testing equipment, mounting equipment and proper use of tools
* Perform other duties as assigned
Required Education/Experience:
High school diploma or equivalent. 6 months of experience in HVAC/Mechanical Services industry
Competencies:
* Ability to communicate with internal team and customers
* Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
* Ability to use hand and power tools
Physical demands:
Must be physically able to operate a variety of machinery and equipment including electronic and diagnostic tools, recovery equipment, and various other HVAC equipment. Must be able to use body members to work, move or carry objects or materials. This position requires: stooping, kneeling, crouching, climbing, crawling, reaching, standing, walking, pushing, pulling, lifting, and other repetitive motions. Must be able to exert up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 20 pounds of force frequently.
Work environment:
This job operates primarily on HVAC and boiler equipment in all environments. Vehicles are used as the base of operations.
