Job Description

The Sheet Metal CNC Foreman is responsible for leading a team of skilled CNC operators in the fabrication of high-quality components for switchgear and electrical assembly products. This role drives efficiency, ensures quality, and supports on-time delivery in alignment with customer expectations and company standards.

Accountabilities:

  • Supervise a team of CNC operators and ensure all jobs are completed safely, on schedule, and to specification.
  • Partner with the Production Manager to plan manpower, equipment, and materials for on-time, on-budget project delivery.
  • Operate CNC machines when needed and ensure all tools and equipment are properly maintained.
  • Uphold the highest standards of workmanship, safety, and compliance with company procedures.
  • Hire, train, and mentor team members. Foster continuous improvement and pride in craftsmanship.
  • Collaborate with Engineering to support design-to-fabrication execution.
  • Coordinate with other project teams and foremen to ensure seamless workflow.
  • Communicate project updates and resolve issues in a timely manner.
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications

Require knowledge/Experience

  • 5+ years in manufacturing or Fabrication environment, Required.
  • Proficient in CNC and manual machine operation
  • Strong mechanical, production, and design knowledge.
  • Familiar with AutoCAD, Microsoft Office, and manufacturing software.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.

Supervisory Requirements

  • Lead the Team: Supervise a team of skilled CNC operators and ensure all jobs are completed safely, on schedule, and to spec.
  • Develop People: Hire, train, and mentor your team. Inspire continuous improvement and pride in craftsmanship.

Preferred

  • Background in industrial markets or shipbuilding is a plus but not required.
  • 3+ years in a supervisory or lead role, Preferred.
  • Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma certification

Education

  • High School Diploma or GED, Required.
