We are seeking an experienced SharePoint Farm Engineer to support the administration, stabilization, and remediation of a SharePoint Server 2019 environment hosted in an Infrastructure-as-a-Service (IaaS) platform.

This role is focused on farm-level administration and server-side troubleshooting following a migration from SharePoint 2013 to SharePoint 2019. The ideal candidate will bring deep expertise in identifying and resolving issues related to legacy customizations, broken components, and overall farm health, ensuring a stable and performant SharePoint environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Administer and support a SharePoint Server 2019 farm at the server and farm level

  • Troubleshoot and remediate issues related to event receivers, features, and custom solutions following a platform upgrade

  • Perform SharePoint farm health checks, diagnostics, and environment assessments

  • Identify deprecated, incompatible, or unsupported customizations and third-party components

  • Leverage PowerShell extensively for configuration, troubleshooting, and remediation

  • Validate service applications, web applications, timer jobs, and supporting dependencies

  • Support SharePoint deployed within an IaaS-based infrastructure

  • Ensure platform stability, performance, and security compliance

  • Document findings, corrective actions, and recommended improvements

  • Collaborate with internal technical teams and stakeholders

Required Qualifications

  • Strong hands-on experience as a SharePoint Farm / Server Engineer

  • Deep expertise with SharePoint Server 2013 and SharePoint Server 2019

  • Advanced proficiency with SharePoint PowerShell

  • Proven experience troubleshooting farm-level issues, event receivers, and custom solutions

  • Experience supporting SharePoint in IaaS or hybrid environments

  • Ability to work independently in a secure, mission-critical setting

  • Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline with 12+ years of relevant experience

    • Equivalent professional experience may be considered in lieu of a degree

  • 8+ years of hands-on SharePoint experience

  • Strong working knowledge of Linux-based environments

  • Availability to support core collaboration hours between 10:00 AM and 2:00 PM

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience supporting government or enterprise environments

  • Background in post-migration remediation and platform stabilization

  • Familiarity with SharePoint security hardening and compliance frameworks

Desired Skills

  • Ability to clearly communicate complex or ambiguous technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences

  • Strong systems-level thinking with the ability to align daily technical tasks to broader organizational objectives
