The SharePoint Developer plays a critical role by delivering timely, high‑quality, out‑of‑the‑box SharePoint solutions. This position requires exceptional customer service, strong technical expertise, and consistent responsiveness. The developer collaborates closely with site owners, content managers, and end users to design, sustain, and optimize SharePoint environments that meet evolving business needs.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate with site and content owners for creation, development, and sustainment of SharePoint sites
- Ensure compliance with established SharePoint governance policies
- Configure and manage site access in alignment with business requirements and processes
- Meet with customers to gather requirements and develop tools and solutions
- Plan, support, and execute SharePoint migrations and upgrades
- Provide analysis, design, hands‑on development, and delivery of SharePoint sites
- Translate functional requirements into system requirements to support scalable solutions
- Troubleshoot SharePoint site issues, access challenges, workflows, and configuration problems
- Provide SharePoint training and develop documentation, reference guides, and user support materials
- Attend SharePoint community‑focused meetings to remain current and advocate for supported programs
- Track and monitor work using JIRA or similar systems
- Support large‑scale SharePoint project implementations and migration strategies
Minimum Requirements
- Client‑facing communication skills with ability to present strategies, solutions, and business cases
- Experience with SharePoint OnlineExperience with Power Platform (Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI)
- Working knowledge of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
- Understanding of the software development life cycle (SDLC)Ability to troubleshoot SharePoint site issues, functional access, and configurations
- Ability to coordinate with customers and translate requirements into SharePoint solutions
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience leading SharePoint migrations and managing large‑scale implementations
- Experience developing out‑of‑the‑box SharePoint solutions for enterprise organizations
- Experience with SharePoint Designer or light customization tools
- Experience using JIRA or similar work‑tracking tools
- Experience supporting or sustaining complex SharePoint environments with custom pages or workflows
Education and Relevant Experience
A BS/BA degree in an information technology field related field or equivalent experience in related field.
