Company:

Everest Global Services, Inc.

About Everest:

Everest is a global leader in risk management, rooted in a rich, 50+ year heritage of enabling businesses to survive and thrive, and economies to function and flourish. We are underwriters of risk, growth, progress and opportunity. We are a global team focused on disciplined capital allocation and long-term value creation for all stakeholders, who care deeply about our impact on communities and the wider world.

About the Role:

The Underwriting Services Team at Everest Insurance is seeking a Underwriting Operations Analyst to support shared services and automation initiatives across the underwriting lifecycle. As Everest continues to enhance its digital capabilities, this role plays an important part in supporting operational accuracy, managing exceptions, and contributing insights that help improve automated workflows.

This is an excellent opportunity for an insurance operations professional with 2+ years of experience who is interested in moving beyond transactional processing and gaining exposure to automation, vendor collaboration, and continuous process improvement. The role focuses on hands-on analysis, exception resolution, and quality monitoring, while working closely with experienced leaders and cross-functional partners.

This is a hybrid position based in Warren, NJ working 3 days in office, 2 remote.

Key Responsibilities

Automation Oversight & Exception Management

  • Support the review and resolution of underwriting transactions that fall outside standard automated workflows.

  • Investigate exceptions, document findings, and escalate trends or recurring issues to leadership to support business continuity and accuracy.

  • Assist in identifying opportunities to improve automation logic and reduce future exceptions.

Vendor Support & Collaboration

  • Partner with the UW Services Lead to support offshore vendor teams by monitoring workflow changes and ensuring adherence to established processes.

  • Help review vendor output for accuracy and completeness, escalating quality concerns when identified.

  • Support ongoing communication between internal teams and vendor partners.

Quality Assurance & Performance Monitoring

  • Perform routine quality checks on vendor output and automation results across business segments.

  • Track and analyze error trends or data “fallout” to support root cause discussions and corrective actions.

  • Help maintain documentation related to quality standards and process updates.

Process Improvement Support

  • Participate in identifying inefficiencies or friction points within underwriting workflows.

  • Contribute ideas and observations to support continuous improvement initiatives and improved user experience.

  • Assist with testing and feedback related to process or system enhancements.

Compliance & Data Integrity

  • Support compliance with regulatory requirements (including ODEN state rules for cancellations and reinstatements) within both automated and manual processes.

  • Ensure accurate documentation and adherence to established controls to support audit readiness.

Stakeholder & Project Support

  • Prepare operational data, findings, and summaries to support updates shared with underwriting, operations, and technology stakeholders.

  • Assist with tracking progress on automation or transformation initiatives and escalate issues or delays as needed.

Qualifications, Education & Experience

  • Minimum 2+ years of experience within insurance operations, underwriting support, or policy administration.

  • Exposure to the insurance policy life cycle preferred.

  • Bachelor’s degree required, or equivalent relevant work experience.

  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP).

  • Comfortable learning and navigating new systems, tools, or platforms; prior exposure to automation tools is a plus but not required.

  • Foundational understanding of insurance operations and underwriting workflows.

  • Experience supporting offshore vendors, quality reviews, or process documentation is a plus.

  • Clearly communicates findings and observations in written and verbal formats appropriate for leadership and vendor audiences.

  • Works well within a team environment and values open communication and shared problem-solving.

The base salary range for this position is $70,000 - $90,000 annually. The offered rate of compensation will be based on individual education, experience, qualifications and work location. All offers include access to a variety of benefits to employees, including health insurance coverage, an employee wellness program, life and disability insurance, 401k match, retirement savings plan, paid holidays and paid time off (PTO).
