Job Title Test Lead <Banking Domain>

We are seeking an experienced and proactive Test Lead to join our offshore team. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills, in-depth knowledge of the banking domain, and expertise in both manual and automation testing. Experience with Japanese language is a plus. The Test Lead will be responsible for end-to-end test management, issue tracking, diligent follow-ups, management reporting, and effective team and stakeholder management.

/Responsibilities:

Test Planning & Execution

• • Develop comprehensive test strategies, plans, and schedules aligned with project requirements.
  • Lead and execute both manual and automated testing activities across multiple projects.
  • Ensure thorough test coverage and adherence to quality standards.

• Issue Tracking & Resolution

• • Closely monitor, track, and report defects and issues throughout the testing lifecycle.
  • Diligently follow up with development and support teams to ensure timely resolution of defects.

• Communication & Reporting

• • Provide clear, concise, and timely updates to management and stakeholders through regular reports and status meetings.
  • Prepare and present management reports on test progress, quality metrics, and risk assessments.

• Team & People Management

• • Lead, mentor, and motivate a team of testers, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture.
  • Oversee resource allocation, workload distribution, and team development activities.

• Stakeholder Management

• • Build strong working relationships with onshore/offshore teams, vendors, and other stakeholders.
  • Proactively manage expectations and address concerns to ensure alignment and satisfaction.

• Continuous Improvement

• • Identify opportunities to optimize testing processes and tools.
  • Promote best practices in quality assurance and testing methodologies.

Technical Skills (Mandatory):

• 6+ years of experience in software testing, including at least 2 years in a test lead or similar role.

• Strong knowledge of banking and financial services domain (mandatory).
• Proficiency in manual and automation testing tools (e.g., Selenium, QTP, JMeter, etc.).
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
• Experience in issue tracking and test management tools (e.g., JIRA, TestRail).
• Demonstrated ability to track issues closely and follow up diligently until resolution.
• Proven experience in team management, people management, and stakeholder management.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience working with Japanese clients or in Japanese business environments.
• Knowledge of Agile and Waterfall methodologies.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.

ISTQB/ CSTE or equivalent certification
