Job Description

As a valued colleague on our team in Plano, TX, you will mentor and provide expert guidance to internal team members and outsourced vendor partners in performing loan reviews focused on credit underwriting, quality assurance, misrepresentation, fraud, and adherence to applicable guidelines and requirements. You will oversee and ensure accurate reporting on credit quality, collaborate with internal policy and strategy teams, communicate identified loan defects to key stakeholders, and partner with internal teams and outsourced vendors to resolve issues and support effective risk management.

The Impact You Will Make

  • Lead forensic reviews of credit files and relevant loan documentation to assess compliance with the firm's eligibility requirements and underwriting standards and identify potential fraud, misrepresentation, or other loan quality concerns.
  • Research a broad range of complex loan scenarios using multiple tools and data sources, including loan file documentation, public records, and proprietary risk models.
  • Provide guidance and mentorship to team members on loan reviews, research methodologies, underwriting requirements, and the evaluation of complex or unusual circumstances.
  • Lead reviews of internal teams, outsourced vendor partners, and related processes to assess compliance with internal underwriting standards and quality assurance requirements.
  • Analyze loan-level and portfolio-level findings to identify trends, recurring defects, and emerging loan quality issues.
  • Prepare and communicate accurate reporting on loan quality findings, defects, and areas of risk to appropriate stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with policy, strategy, risk, internal partners, and outsourced vendor partners to research findings, resolve identified issues, and support consistent application of underwriting and eligibility requirements.

Minimum Required Experience:

  • 4 years of related experience
  • Shows curiosity and adaptability in learning and responsibly applying new technologies, including artificial intelligence, to reimagine how we work

Desired Experience / Education:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent

The hiring range for this role is set forth below. Final salaries will generally vary within that range based on factors that include but are not limited to, skill set, depth of experience, certifications, and other relevant qualifications.
