Job Title:

Setup Technician

Position Purpose & Summary:

Set-up of production equipment and molds , cycle in presses and instructing shift personnel in the operations of the equipment. All samplings / testings / DOE’s are coordinated and compiled.

Primary Duties & Responsibilities:

1. Set-up molds in presses , remove molds in presses

2. Start up and cycle production equipment, ensuring that equipment is properly adjusted to produce acceptable parts within production standards established by the company. Periodically check quality of parts produced.

3. Identify problems affecting the production of acceptable parts and makes required adjustment to equipment.

4. Communicates vital information to oncoming shift and all affected departments.

5. Logs process and press changes, and fills out all other required paper works in a timely manner

6. Adhere to all safety procedures including wearing all required protective equipments

7. Maintain a clean and safe work environment. Keep work area clean of debris and in an orderly manner.

8. Perform other duties assigned. i.e. provide trainings, evaluation of process improvements, equipment reliability, etc.

9. Ensure highest product quality and adherence to Entegris’s Quality System, ISO, and / or other standards.

Accountability:

Responsible to have a schedules set-up and cycled as per plan. Ensure all products in production comply with all Quality requirements and handled according to established procedures. Lead group to ensure good productivity and efficiency at all times. Coordinates all Quality improvements activities related to process, tools and equipments.

Academic Qualification:

Secondary School Certificate preferably with Trade Certificate or Diploma in a Technical Stream.

Experiences:

1. Preferably with 4 years exposure to Plastic injection Molding, basic mathematics, systematic approach to trouble-shooting and problem solving. Preferably with exposure to Six Sigma / Lean Sigma.

2. Exposure on operating related molding equipments i.e. MTC, Robotic fixtures etc.

Knowledge:

1. Extrusion / molding knowledge.

2. Process control and documentation according to procedures.

3. Molding machines troubleshooting and monitoring.

4. Auxiliary equipment troubleshooting.

5. Proper use of SPC.

6. Knowledge of proper polymer processing and drying techniques.

7. Knowledge of tooling functions relative to injection molding.

Skills:

1. Ability to train and improve on molding skills / processes.

2. Feedback on Tooling repairs / improvements and / or modifications

3. Trouble-shooting process related issues.
