Job Description

We're looking for a customer service focused Settlements Officer with strong communication skills to be responsible for the settlement of Commercial Finance contracts within their delegated level of authority.

Roles and responsibilities

Prepare settlements documentation

• Liaise with the broker and BDM’s to obtain all required information to settle the loan
• Review client contracts, consult on contract variations and verify they have been executed correctly by the borrower.
• Manage and resolve queries related to client contracts.
• Make sure Metro’s Personal Property Securities Register (PPSR) has been lodged over the asset.
• Prepare the Payment run for checking.
• Check relevant documents have been saved against the loan.
• Settlement preparation is undertaken via the Metro Broker Portal, PPSR register and equifax.
• Collect, analyse and submit settlements-related data for Business Intelligence dashboards and reports.
• Identify any opportunities for process improvement and take the ideas forward.

We are looking for someone with the following:

• 2-3 years prior experience in a settlements role from vehicle / equipment finance or mortgage background
• Clear and concise communication skills
• Ability to think quick about different scenarios and offer solutions to problems
• Strong time management
• Customer service focused
• Previous processing experience in financial services
• Knowledge of a settlements system is desirable
• Must have Australian working rights (citizen or PR)
