Set-Up Technician

Injection Molding Set-Up Mechanic / Technician

Do you enjoy working hands-on with molds, machines, robotics, and process equipment? We are seeking experienced Set-Up Mechanics to support injection molding and extrusion blow molding manufacturing operations.

This role is ideal for someone who takes pride in efficient mold changes, safe equipment operation, and helping production teams achieve successful startups.

What You'll Do

• Remove and install molds and tooling
• Perform mold and machine setups
• Connect and configure auxiliary equipment
• Prepare material handling and downstream equipment
• Set machine recipes and initial process parameters
• Support Process Technicians during startups and first article approval
• Troubleshoot tooling and setup-related issues
• Perform basic preventative maintenance activities
• Support automation, robotics, and auxiliary equipment changes

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED
• 3+ years of setup experience in plastics manufacturing
• Experience with injection molding equipment and mold changes
• Knowledge of plastic resins, molds, tooling, and machine operation
• Forklift and crane experience preferred
• Strong mechanical troubleshooting skills
