Job Location: Duncan, SC 29334, Fehrer Set Up Mold Operator

Summary

Sets up molds for mold changes, cleans molds when needed, and fills in and helps on the production floor where needed.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Identify and report any mold damage or issues to the supervisor.
• Track mold cleanings on log sheets.
• Prepare molds for storage on racks, or shipment back to warehouse.
• Clean and prep (wax) molds for production to run.
• Additional duties as needed and assigned.

• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)
• Forklift operating knowledge (Must be forklift certified)
• Valid Driver’s license

Education and/or Experience

Employee must have working knowledge of manufacturing maintenance. The individual will be responsible for leading maintenance systems, overseeing the continuous improvement of the manufacturing process and executing long term strategic plans. Must be self-motivated and possess well developed leadership skills.

• High school diploma or GED

Language Skills

Ability to read, analyze, and interpret basic instructions and required documents. Has the ability to respond and communicate complicated instruction and basic directions.

• Ability to read and comprehend a production schedule to prepare for upcoming mold changes
• Ability to read and interpret work instructions/general production information written and communicated in English

Mathematical Skills

Ability to comprehend and apply principles of basic mathematics.

• Basic math skills

Reasoning Ability

Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.

• Ability to solve problems as the arise.
• Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

• Must be able to work in unconditioned environment that is HOT in the summer and COLD in the winter for up to 12 hours a day (and overtime as needed)
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs

Work Environment

Normal amount of sitting and standing, above average mobility to move around an office and plant environment, able to conduct normal amount of work on a computer.

• Will have contact with production, quality, maintenance and warehouse personnel
