Corston Architectural Detail is expanding across North America, and we’re looking for a Set Builder / Skilled Laborer based near Chicago (Hanover Park) to support the fit-out of our showroom and retail spaces — as well as set builds for photoshoots, exhibitions, and brand events.

About Corston

Key Responsibilities

  • Constructing and fitting out retail showrooms and exhibition sets to a premium standard across the US
  • Interpreting design briefs and floor plans to build consistent, brand-aligned interiors
  • Working across multiple trades: carpentry, painting, decorating
  • Supporting product display builds, photoshoots, and promotional events
  • Traveling to project sites across the U.S., with optional international opportunities
  • Taking direction from the Building Manager and staying on budget and on schedule

  • Solid craftsmanship and high attention to detail
  • Comfortable using a wide range of tools and materials
  • Understanding of basic safety protocols and construction best practices
  • Ability to read and follow design briefs or brand layout standards
  • A valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
  • Willingness to travel regularly within the U.S.

You’ll Stand Out If You Also:

  • Have retail or showroom fit-out experience
  • Can estimate and order building materials
  • Work confidently both independently and within a team
  • Bring a practical, problem-solving mindset to dynamic environments
  • Take pride in delivering exceptional results — even under pressure

Benefits

  • $21.00–$25.00/hour, depending on experience
  • 40+ hours/week with reliable scheduling
  • Travel expenses covered when on the road
  • Training on our products, brand, and systems
  • Opportunities to grow with a high-end, international brand
  • Discounts on Corston products
  • Full-time role with long-term stability in a growing company
