Course description: This course p rovides an overview of the Canadian and U.S development industries within the real estate development process. The course covers the financial basis of urban development projects (private and public finance); the participants; land assembly procedures and land banking; mixed use projects, sectoral and scale differences within the development industry market and locational search procedures. Finally, it addresses the interface of the industry with the public sector.

Sessional Lecturer I: $9,997.48

Sessional Lecturer I Long Term: $10,699.22

Sessional Lecturer II: $10,699.22

Sessional Lecturer II Long Term: $10,953.96

Sessional Lecturer III: $10,953.96

Sessional Lecturer III Long Term: $11,229.90

Minimum Qualifications:

MArc with a MUD or MSc in Urban Planning degree and professional urban design experience preferred.

Preferred Qualifications:

A proven record in scholarship or professional experience on urban design regulatory contexts in Toronto and/or Canada.

Duties:

Preparation and delivery of course material; managing digital teaching materials; preparation and delivery of assignments, tests, final examinations and deferred final examinations; marking of student work, submission of grades, dealing with student enquiries, appeals and petitions and student contact hours.
