The following position for a Sessional Lectureris available in the Department of Philosophy for the Fall 2026 academic session. This is a posting in accordance with the Collective Agreement between The Governing Council of the University of Toronto and the Canadian Union of Public Employees, Local 3902 Unit 3. Please note that the position below is tentative, pending final course determinations and enrolments. Salary: $9, 997.48 (Sessional Lecturer I) includes 4% vacation pay
$10,699.22 (Sessional Lecturer I – Long Term) includes 6% vacation pay

$10,953.96 (Sessional Lecturer II – Long Term) includes 6% vacation pay

Should rates stipulated in the collective agreement vary from rates stated in this posting, the rates in the collective agreement shall prevail.

Qualifications:
Duties and responsibilities: All normal duties related to the design and teaching of a university credit course, including preparation and delivery of course content; development, administration and marking of assignments; calculation and submission of grades; holding regular office hours.
Appointment Dates: September 1, 2026 – December 31, 2026
Note: All positions involve completion of any course grading not already finished by December, 2026.
