Course number and title: INI106H1S: Storytelling through Literary Journalism
Course description: This course is an introduction to literary journalism in which students study the craft of storytelling along with interviewing, reporting, and the journalist’s ethical stance. Guest speakers, field trips, writing activities and course readings will help students engage deeply with their environment and develop the skills and sensitivity required for literary reporting. Restricted to first-year students.

Sessional Lecturer 1 - $9,997.48 (includes 4% vacation pay)
Sessional Lecturer 1 Long Term - $10,699.22 (includes 6% vacation pay)
Sessional Lecturer 2 - $10,699.22 (includes 6% vacation pay)
Sessional Lecturer 2 Long Term - $10,953.96 (includes 6% vacation pay)
Sessional Lecturer 3 - $10,953.96 (includes 6% vacation pay)
Sessional Lecturer 3 Long Term - $11,228.90 (includes 6% vacation pay)

of duties: The Sessional Lecturer will teach the full course, conduct all grading, and prepare and submit all final marks. In addition, the Sessional Lecturer will hold office hours each week, and answer student questions by email and/or appointment. A past instructor’s syllabus and detailed course outline will be provided to the Sessional Lecturer.
