Course description: This course introduces life science students to biomedical advances and technologies in medicine, including drug patents, medical device implants, diagnostic and medical device software. Limitations of patent protection in commercializing medical products, and limitations to scalability will also be discussed.

Minimum qualificationsCandidates should have a completed Ph.D. (or equivalent) with a demonstrated understanding of current biotechnologies and recent experience in teaching undergraduate courses.
