Course description: This course explores architectural journalism as a means of developing a critical voice within contemporary architectural discourse. Through the reading and analysis of essays, reviews, interviews, and opinion pieces, students will examine how writing shapes public understanding of architecture and the built environment. Assignments will emphasize clear, persuasive, and reflective writing, encouraging students to articulate informed positions on architecture, cities, design culture, and professional practice.

Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor or Graduate degree in Journalism.
Preferred Qualifications: Demonstrated expertise in architectural journalism and critical writing, with a strong record of publication.
of duties: Attending meetings required by program director; preparation and delivery of course material; managing digital teaching materials, supervision of teaching assistants; preparation and delivery of assignments, tests, final examinations and deferred final examinations; marking of student work, submission of grades, dealing with student enquiries, appeals and petitions and student contact hours.
